How Intersport Twinsport transformed its digital strategy and grew by +22% in revenue!

The Challenge

At the beginning of 2024, Intersport Twinsport faced the following challenges: How can we unlock more value from existing digital marketing channels and harness the power of data to drive commercial growth? With a strong foundation, including a significant database, there was a big opportunity to elevate the digital marketing strategy to the next level. Twinsport aimed for a more effective, targeted approach to better serve its customers and significantly increase ROI. The key challenges were:

  • Lack of a data-driven approach: Historical data combined with market knowledge within the sports retail industry was insufficiently utilized, resulting in missed growth opportunities.
  • Insufficient segmentation and personalization: Email marketing, automation, and the Customer Data Platform (CDP) were not optimally leveraged, causing Twinsport to miss opportunities to personalize the customer journey.
  • Underutilization of First-party data in Social advertising: Historical sales data and customer insights were rarely applied in campaigns, preventing Twinsport from maximizing returns from high-potential products, brands, and categories.
  • Limited Martech stack: The existing technology did not adequately support Twinsport's strategic growth objectives and introduced operational limitations.
  • Improving ROI from Brand and Performance Campaigns: The lack of proper strategic alignment and measurable KPIs restricted the potential returns.
